Essentials To Know Prior Opening And Using A Paypal Account

There are too many pitfalls when using any Paypal account, which Paypal account users fall victim of.

I had to come up with some tips to help users understand and assimilate the usage of their accounts successfully.
Here they are. Love to get your comments.

* You can't use a debit card to verify a Paypal account opened using a U. S. address.
This is because a debitcard is not linked to a (most preferrably, a U. S. )
bank account; which if it were - would have your sensitive informations like your real billing address, residential address, name, etc. This is to prove that you're reliable, genuine, and a reputable Paypal account holder, thus every other Paypal account holders can comfortably do business with you without fear of any kind ie. defrauding.

* Be acutely conscious also that Paypal "Because of the way that World Wide Web communication standards work, when you arrive at or leave the Paypal website "we automatically receive the web address of the site that you came from or are going to". With this, Paypal is/can study your web behaviour/activity with the site that you came from and are going to after you leave their site. More like spying than surveillance.

* As a registered Paypal account user, your account information such as "your name, e-mail address, Skype ID (if applicable), phone number (if applicable) date of sign-up, the number of payments you have received from verified PayPal users, and whether you have been verified to have control of a bank
account may are made available to other PayPal customers whom you have paid or who are attempting to pay you through PayPal". So as you can see - virtually nothing is hidden, thus is imperative that your dealings are transparent enough to depict a reputable image of you not only on Paypal, but also online. Generally!

* Your account' financial information such as your Credit Card number, Bank Account, etc. are however, not going to be revealed to other Paypal account users, except where/if you indicate so, or, if these informations are demanded and/required by a lawsuit or other legal process.

* If you're buying anything using Paypal, your shipping address for where the goods will be sent to and your Billing address (in your account) are both provided to the seller. Should there also be any decline in the transaction, Paypal will also provide the seller with the details of the unfruitful transaction. In this case, the seller's address may also be provided to the buyer; to return the goods - if already delivered to the buyer. This is ofcourse with the intent to quickly resolving physical goods transaction disputes with members.

* About fraudulent tendencies/activities: Paypal will not for any reason - ask for you password. If you get such message; asking you for your password, forward it to spoof@paypal. com.

* You can close your Paypal account at any time. But your account will still be in their database; just incase is linked to a case of fraud - thus, you can be traced using the informations in your "closed" account. Besides, your remaining account balance as at when closing the account remains locked until the expiration of 180 days; to ensure there are no lapses eg. returning uncompleted, disputed transactions that you may have with your buyers.

Thank you and good luck to you all, with your 'legit' online endeavours.
